Polk Under Prayer set up a portable baptistry with the help of Dr. Richard Geringswald and Tim Williams on Saturday, April 7, 2012. Several ministers representing churches from all over Polk County showed up to participate in the event.
People driving by were able to stop and be baptized. We had six baptisms. Each candidate was counseled before their baptism. Information was taken to help direct them to an appropriate church nearby.
Confirming your faith in Christ by being baptized is the "nail in the coffin" to your sinful past and a testimony by illustration to being born again to walk in a newness with Jesus Christ.
